After announcing being an Independent brand, Poco immediately expanded its portfolio by releasing a smartwatch that has been seen in the ECC certification.
Poco, which is known for its extreme price and performance, always presents smartphones with qualified specifications at affordable prices.
This year, it seems that Poco is planning to make a splash in the industry again, but not a smartphone, as it has been revealed that it is ready to release a new smartwatch.
A sign from now on, with the appearance of the ECC certification showing that the product name is "Poco Smartwatch."
In the attachment to the ECC certification, the smartwatch product from POCO has been registered since February 7, 2022.
The news came from the leaker, Piyush Bhasarkar, on Twitter. The post shares screenshots of a list of Poco-branded smartwatches from the Russian Electronic Certification platform, EEC.
The listing reveals some details about the smartwatch. Like, the smartwatch will be model numbered Poco M2131W1.
Next is the smartwatch manufacturer from Poco that seems to be produced by 70mai Co. Ltd. in Shanghai, China.
The manufacturer's name, 70mai will sound familiar if you have an IoT device from Xiaomi because Xiaomi is currently integrating it into their Xiaomi IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystem.
Some of the IoT products marketed by Xiaomi are mostly through manufacturers from 70mai from the bamboo curtain country.
70mai is not known for their smartwatches, but in China, they are quite famous for their pro cameras, namely, 70mai Dash Cam 1S, Dash Cam A400, and Dash Cam Pro Plus.
There is no mention of the specifications in the ECC certification data in the EEC list. At this point, this is the first leak about Poco's first entry into the smartwatch market.
But suppose Poco uses its ideology, such as releasing smartphones into its smartwatches. In that case, it is also possible that this will be released at a low price but has fierce specifications.
