ICS Compute announced a Collaboration Agreement with a global cloud service provider, AWS.
The agreement includes upgrading human resources skills and developing advanced features on AWS.
Through this collaboration, ICS Compute will increase the use of advanced AWS services, such as data analytics, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and serverless, to drive digital innovation in Indonesia.
ICS Compute helps its customers, including the Kawan Lama Group and Arista Group, transform and innovate their business through the deployment, modernization, and optimization of cloud solutions, thereby supporting digital transformation and innovation, including in cloud financial management (FinOps).
ICS Compute plans to develop its FinOps consulting practice with AWS, including setting up cross-departmental, multidisciplinary finance, consulting, and engineering teams.
In addition, this partnership also includes training to increase the capacity of the sales team, as well as to improve the technical capabilities and implementation of the cloud migration business run by ICS.
FinOps is predicted to play a more critical role as Indonesia's cloud transformation matures.
As a constantly evolving field of cultural science and practice, FinOps helps maximize an organization's business value by supporting engineering, finance, technology and business teams in collaboration to make data-driven spending decisions.
FinOps will help teams manage their cloud costs, with employees recording cloud usage on their behalf, backed by a major group of best practices.
Cross-functional teams in various fields, including Engineering, Finance and Products, work together to enable faster delivery of products while controlling finances better and increasing predictability.
ICS Compute will train future digital HR and equip them with cloud skills through the ICS Bootcamp program.
In Indonesia, the demand for skilled digital human resources is very high.
An AWS study revealed that Indonesia will need more than 110 million additional digitally-skilled workers by 2025.
As part of a strategic collaboration with AWS, ICS Compute will also participate in AWS re/Start, an initiative to help unemployed and underemployed individuals start careers in the cloud through classroom-based training.
In addition to contributing to digital talent development, the AWS re/Start program is also expected to create more IT job opportunities in Indonesia.
The AWS Asia Pacific (Jakarta) Region launch in December 2021 opens up opportunities for local businesses to adopt cloud services.
The AWS Asia Pacific (Jakarta) Region provides better compatibility with data localization requirements.
To drive cloud adoption further, Indonesia will need the guidance and support of trusted IT partners to realize comprehensive use of the cloud across their operations.
ICS Compute will develop new, innovative initiatives with AWS to accelerate digital transformation for local businesses.
"This collaboration is to help our customers get more value from the cloud and to develop a new generation of skilled cloud practitioners," said Budhi Wibawa, Founder and CEO of ICS Compute.
ICS Compute serves customers across a wide range of industries, focusing on the financial services sector and startups.
"Our partners have a very important role to play in driving the expansion of local cloud usage, including in Indonesia," said Gunawan Susanto, Country Manager, Indonesia, AWS.
"ICS Compute often manages customers' entire IT infrastructure, and quickly becomes a trusted advisor to their customers," he added.
