During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people stay at home to prevent the spread of the virus. More people are at home, enabling them to use video conferencing services.
Zoom is a video conferencing service whose users have skyrocketed amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. WhatsApp seems to see this potential, and the company increased its group video calling feature to 8 people.
As previously reported, WhatsApp released a new update on Monday, which allows users to use video or voice calling services for up to 8 people. The number of participants for this video call increased from the previous four people, quoted by Cnet.
To use this group video call feature, all users must have an updated version of WhatsApp.
Last week, Facebook introduced a new Messenger Rooms feature that allows 50 people to video chat at once with no time limit.
